Spending Cuts in Haringey

Haringey Council will have to cut £85 million from its budget over the next three years. In 2011/12 they cut their budget by 13% (£46m). This has had an impact upon many frontline services such as youth centres, drop-ins and luncheon clubs and older people. Voluntary and community organisations in receipt of core funding will lose their grants in June 2012. The Council will be introducing a Funding and Commissioning Framework for the Voluntary Sector next year.

Review of Haringey's VCS Support Services

Haringey Council has commissioned a review of the support needs and the support services (ie HAVCO) provided to the local VCS. This is an independent review and the findings will be used to help the council make decisions about future investment in effective support services. Please take this opportunity to inform Haringey Council about your organisation's support needs by completing this online survey or to book an appointment to speak with the consultant.

Rebuilding Tottenham

On 13 December HAVCO held the Regeneration of Tottenham event. A feedback report is in draft and will be available by 31 January 2012. The report will be sent to Haringey's Tottenham Regeneration Team to help shape their plans.
